If you’re a guitarist, you really need to come check out the two virtuoso performers we are bringing in this week. The newest addition to the RMA is a nicely equipped recording studio engineered by Lindsey Tims. The recording platform is Logic Pro and the studio contains a drum isolation room, an iso booth for vocalists and/or guitarists or their amps, and a large recording room for bigger groups. We are now booking recording time and adding audio samples of our recording work as completed. If you want a professional sounding recording, we are now able to provide you with that at very reasonable rates. 2010 RMA Summer Guitar Workshop – July 21-24

The 2010 RMA Summer Guitar Workshop is now open for registration. This year we are honored to host two amazing guitarists – Andy Timmons and Andy Wood. This marks the third time for Andy Timmons to visit and share his talent with the RMA and he will be with us for 2 of the 4 days. Andy Wood will be with us all four days teaching and performing. This is a small and casual learning environment and the spaces are limited and expected to fill quickly. Xotic Effects will be doing a special giveaway for this year’s workshop!

The January 30th student show normally scheduled for 6pm has been cancelled due to the forecasted snow and ice for that day. The rehearsals on Friday evening have also been cancelled. We regret doing this, but we want to make sure everybody is safe and that anybody who would show up would actually have a crowd! Have fun in the snow.

Open mic night at the RMA begins on January 22nd from 7 to 9 pm. If you want to perform on a professional stage with lights and an awesome sound system, this is the chance for you. This is open to the public so bring your friends, enjoy some gourmet coffee and music! Arrive early to get your name on the list. Amps, mics and drums are provided. See you then!

We’re very happy to announce that Chris Poland will fly out from LA for the day to do a clinic with us on March 20th at 2pm. Lots of people know him from Megadeth and OHM, but he’s even appeared on a couple of Lamb of God cds and other projects. He’ll be doing a clinic with a live band which will run a couple of hours. Also, Eminence will be giving away a couple of speakers and there will be other special giveaways from Ernie Ball and perhaps some other sponsors. Come hang and learn from a guy who’s actually been on albums that have sold in the millions. It’ll be a good time as always to gain inspiration from a monster player…

Our beginner group guitar lessons start back in January 2010 with times on Wednesdays and Saturdays. These classes are strictly for total beginners on the instrument. If you already play guitar a little bit, you would need private lessons so that we can cater the lesson to your skills and interests.
